Wu Chong,Liu Haiyan,Zhang Shengli,Cui Bing,Ding Wenjun

Strategic Study of CAE 2010, Volume 12, Issue 7,   Pages 39-42

Abstract:

Because the thickness of orthotropic steel deck is thin and the stiffnessof pavement is relatively large, the interaction between orthotropic steel deck and pavement on it cannot be neglected in the fatigue design of orthotropic steel deck.Based on the assumption of non-slip between pavement and the bridge deck, influences of elastic modulusand thickness of pavement on the fatigue stress range of four typical details in orthotropic steel deck

Abstract: Steel and steel-concrete composite girders are two types of girders commonly used for long-span bridgesFor steel girders, the orthotropic steel deck (OSD) is vulnerable to fatigue cracking and the asphaltWhile for steel-concrete composite girders, the concrete deck is generally thick and heavy, and the deckbeam and a UHPC waffle deck.To date, the proposed steel-UHPC composite girders have been applied to 14 real bridges in China.
